My experience with Dr. Varella and his staff was amazing! Words cannot express how great they all are. I truly appreciate Dr. Varella taking his time to explain to me everything that was going to happen. As strange as this may sound, but I was sooo relaxed that I ended up taking a nap during the procedure...lol. Everyone was kind, patient, and had a positive attitude. 10/10 I would definitely recommend! Also, a huge shoutout to Amber, she is wonderful!!

Dr. Varella is amazing. He ran into an issue with the rework on my root canal. I had an artifact of some kind blocking the root, at the end of my first visit we were planning oral surgery to fix it and my second appointment was just supposed to be placing a permanent filing. However, when I got there he said I've been thinking about this all week and I have one more thing I would like to try if you're okay with it. Well the one more thing solved the problem, no oral surgery needed. He was super friendly and answered all my questions with care. I was so relaxed during the procedure and highly entertained by the antics of the staff. You can tell they all care and have a good time working together. Everyone in the office is amazing from the front desk to the back. I'm a bit sad that I won't be needing their services anytime soon, I will miss them. If you need Endodontic services you'd be doing yourself a favor going here.

Amazing experience from start to finish. My husband was referred to Dr. Varella from our amazing dentist Dr. Greenwalt and it was everything you would hope to have with a dental encounter. We felt at ease, assured and comfortable given the scope of dental work being done. My husband said he appreciated the human approach taken to make him feel comfortable in the chair and throughout his time spent in Dr. Varella’s care. The on staff administration was also kind and accommodating while I waited in the waiting room. I would definitely recommend Dr. Varella to anyone wanting an empathetic dental experience.

I recently had rhinoplasty, so when one of my teeth suddenly started hurting, I tried to tolerate the pain for as long as I could - I was terrified of triggering any inflammation that might affect my healing. But when the pain became unbearable, I finally had to put myself in the hands of a professional. I specifically wanted an experienced endodontist, someone who would be extremely careful, because even one wrong move could have compromised my recovery. Dr. Varella was exactly that person. He was incredibly gentle and explained every step of the procedure in a way that immediately put me at ease. Even though this was my very first root canal, I stopped being afraid before we even began. He started with a full examination, X-rays, and 3D imaging to assess the health of all my teeth - I was not sure which one was hurting. His attention to detail, calm manner, and clear communication instantly gave me confidence that I was in the right place. Not only is he an excellent specialist, but he’s also a genuinely kind and reassuring human being. The office is comfortable, welcoming, and, surprisingly, not scary at all, even for someone like me who gets nervous about these things )) The staff is incredibly welcoming and very friendly, which makes the entire experience even better. I’m truly grateful for his professionalism and care. Highly recommend!

Can't say enough good things! My child had a cavity that her dentist thought might need a root canal. Amber was amazing at getting everything taken care of so we could be seen as we weren't sure she could be seen because of her age. Doctor varella was amazing. Explained everything so my daughter could understand. Decided to move forward with the procedure and advised if he could just do a filling he would so she wouldn't have to go through with the root canal. He was concerned about her nerve. Procedure day was amazing. My daughter isn't a fan of the dentist but he was so good she fell asleep. If you need a root canal I would highly suggest dr. Varella. Especially if your child needs one. I really hope I dont need to be back, but if we do I won't be worried about my daughter.

The best endodontics office in Jacksonville. Dr. Varella is the kindest person, very thorough and I felt no pain. The entire staff is kind with a special shout out to Amber for always being amazing! The office is so clean and well kept. Great office!

I was experiencing severe nerve pain on the right side of my mouth and was referred to this facility for a root canal procedure. Upon arrival, I was understandably anxious; however, my nerves were immediately alleviated due to the exceptional compassion and care provided by the doctor's assistant, Divina. Her kindness and professionalism put me at ease from the very beginning. Dr. Varella then introduced himself, further calming my anxiety with his reassuring demeanor. From that moment, I felt confident that I was in capable hands. I am immensely grateful for the outstanding care I received from both Divina and Dr. Varella and would highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of dental treatment.

Dr. Varella and his team made the process seamless. I had to get two root canals and I don’t do well with any type of procedure, but the whole team made the experience quite relaxing. So relaxing, in fact, that I almost fell asleep during both of my appointments. I give 10 out of 5 stars to everyone on the team from Ms. Amber and Ms. Johnna, the coordinators. I can’t say enough about how incredible my experience was with Dr. Varella and the entire team at this office. Even though my tooth couldn’t be saved, the care I received was absolutely above and beyond. Dr. Varella took my pain seriously, followed up after hours, and moved quickly to refer me to an oral surgeon when needed. I never felt dismissed or overlooked — just fully supported through every step of this very painful and unexpected ordeal. Amber and Johna at the front desk were also amazing — warm, professional, and always helpful. From beginning to end, this was one of the best dental care experiences I’ve ever had. I came to Dr. Varella's office as a new patient, in excruciating pain, and a fever from an infected, cracked tooth. I spoke to Amber over the phone and told her how much pain I was in, I could tell she genuinely cared. She worked hard to get me in for an evaluation quickly and scheduled my root canal shortly after. This was my first real dental issue, and I was honestly a bit freaked out. But Dr. Varella and his entire team were kind, patient, and incredibly compassionate. They took the time to answer all my questions—both during my visits and afterward when I called with follow-up concerns. I hope I don’t have more dental problems anytime soon, but I’m so grateful to have found such a skilled and caring endodontic team. Highly recommend!

From start to finish, my experience with Varella was amazing. I had 2 root canal in 2 weeks, and I can confidently recommend anyone who (unfortunately) needs to have this done go to see Varella. From the beginning, we had some mishaps with the information sent by the dentist, and the front office staff was extremely friendly and understanding as they helped me process everything that was needed. Once in the office for the procedure, the entire staff was very professional and friendly. Everyone helped educate me and make me feel confident in the process, especially Dr. Varella himself. They take a great amount of care in making sure that people are comfortable as can be throughout, and it shows. I hope I never have to have this done again, but if I do, I will go out ofy way to get a referral to Varella. Thanks to the whole team for taking care of me!
