 Beatriz – Practice Manager at Varella Endodontics

BEATRIZ – Practice Manager

Beatriz is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and she has been with our practice since 2011. She holds a major in Business Administration and a Master of Science Degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida.  She has been instrumental in our progress and improvement as an endodontic practice, and she has helped tremendously during our transition to our new building in 2017.

She oversees all of the daily activities of the practice, including scheduling, accounts, billing, insurance collection, and marketing.  On the back end of the practice administration, she does our payroll and manages all of the office finances. She also manages the continuing education needs of our team members.

She enjoys participating in the family business, making sure that our practice is very caring and personal to our patients and referrals alike.  Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, family, and friends at the beach, traveling, going to sports events, concerts, and church.   Beatriz and Dr. Varella are active members of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach.

AMBER – Patient Coordinator

Born and raised in South Georgia, Amber has settled down just south of the state line. She now happily resides in Yulee, Florida, with her husband Jordan and their bustling family of seven.  Known for her warm personality, positive attitude, and sense of humor, Amber has a natural ability to make patients feel comfortable and welcome.

With more than 16 years of experience in the dental field, including 14 years specialized in endodontics, Amber brings extensive knowledge and expertise to the practice. She began her career as a Certified Dental Assistant, spending three years providing chairside care before expanding her role to oversee a wide range of administrative and operational responsibilities. Her experience includes office management, patient scheduling, insurance claims processing, patient account coordination, and daily practice operations.

Amber is dedicated to her patient’s care and takes pride in creating a welcoming and reassuring experience for every individual who visits the practice. Her understanding of endodontic procedures, combined with her compassionate approach, helps ease dental anxiety and fosters lasting relationships with patients and their families.

Now in her eighth year with the practice, Amber balances her professional dedication with a busy home life as the proud mother of five beautiful daughters and caretaker of two energetic pet raccoons as a class 3 licensed Captive Wildlife owner.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, decorating, cooking, shopping, and searching for sharks teeth along the beach with her husband.  When she’s not at work, Amber enjoys volunteering at her children’s schools on Fridays. She loves cheering on her daughters at their cheerleading games and competitions and rarely misses an opportunity to support any of their activities. A dedicated college football fan, Amber is especially passionate about the Georgia Bulldogs and frequently travels to Athens on Saturdays to attend games and cheer on her favorite team.


CIARRA – Insurance Coordinator

Ciarra is a dedicated dental professional from Port Charlotte with more than 10 years of experience in dental administration and patient care. As an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant, she has built a strong reputation for her professionalism, organization, and commitment to helping patients receive exceptional dental care. Throughout her career, she has managed a variety of administrative responsibilities, including scheduling appointments, handling phone communications, coordinating insurance claims, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of dental practices.

Outside of her professional life, Ciarra is a devoted family person. She has shared over 19 years with her significant other, Shawn, and together they have built a loving family with their two children, Brody and Audrina. Their household is made complete by their beloved dog, Monster, who brings plenty of joy and companionship to the family.

When she is not working, Ciarra enjoys making memories with her family through travel and outdoor activities. She especially loves vacationing near the water, where she can relax and recharge. She also enjoys hosting barbecues and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, always looking for creative ways to bring family and friends together. Her passion for both her career and her family reflects her caring nature, strong work ethic, and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

DIVINA – Dental Assistant

Divina is originally from the Philippines. She moved to the United States when she was 11-year-old and has been living in Jacksonville for 36 years.  She has over 26 years of experience in endodontics and has been with our practice since 2011. She is a dedicated, competent, and hard-working person.  She is a great team player, always ready to help everybody. She always comes to work with a cheerful welcoming smile that immediately puts patients at ease, decreasing their fear and anxiety related to dental treatment.

She is happily married to her husband Joe, and they have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. When Divina is away from the office, she enjoys shopping, watching college football and our Jacksonville Jaguars, and Nascar racing.  She cherishes her family and loves exploring different steakhouses.


Heather – Dental Assistant at Varella Endodontics

HEATHER – Dental Assistant

Heather is originally from Baltimore, Maryland; but she was raised in the beautiful North Carolina mountains.  She and her husband moved to Tampa in 2001 and have been Floridians ever since.  She received her EFDA dental assistant certification in 2004 from Concord Career Institute of Tampa.  She has some experience in general dentistry; but, most of her career has been in the endodontic specialty.

She has extensive knowledge in front office operations and insurance.  However, her passion has always been associated with patient care, which had driven her to chairside assisting full-time.  What Heather finds most rewarding in her career is helping patients throughout their visit with her friendly, calming demeanor to ensure they have a positive dental experience.

Heather and her husband John have been married for 20 years they have a son, Noah. When not at the office she enjoys spending time with her boys at the beach, various music, and cultural festivals, and traveling to local and National Parks.
