BEATRIZ – Practice Manager

Beatriz is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil; and she has been with our practice since 2011. She holds a major in Business Administration and a Master of Science Degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Florida. She has been instrumental in our progress and improvement as an endodontic practice, and she has helped tremendously during our transition to our new building in 2017.

She oversees all of the daily activities of the practice, including scheduling, accounts, billing, insurance collection, and marketing. On the back end of the practice administration, she does our payroll and manages all of the office finances. She also manages the continuing education needs of our team members.

She enjoys participating in the family business, making sure that our practice is very caring and personal to our patients and referrals alike. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, niños, family, and friends at the beach, de viaje, going to sports events, concerts, and church. Beatriz and Dr. Varella are active members of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach.

AMBER – Coordinador de pacientes

Amber is a south Georgia native that currently resides with her family of 7 in Yulee, La Florida. Her cheerful disposition and abundance of humor can make anyone smile. She has been in the dental industry for over 15 año; 12 of which have been in Endodontic practices. After three years chair-side as a certified dental assistant, Amber expanded her knowledge of the dental office by managing all aspects of the daily operations including dental insurance claims, scheduling patients, and handling all patient accounts.

She has a passion for helping people and truly enjoys welcoming all new patients to our practice. Her demeanor and knowledge of the endodontic practice help to alleviate the patient’s dental anxiety, inviting them to become part of our returning dental family for their root canal needs.

Aside from her 7th year of dedication to our practice, she enjoys traveling to theme parks and cheer competitions with her 5 beautiful daughters. She also loves the beach, de viaje, shopping, decorating, cooking, and collecting shark’s teeth with her husband. Amber loves college football and is PASSIONATE about her Georgia Bulldogs. Her spiritual walk is very important to her, and she attends weekly at her church and volunteers at her children’s schools Fridays when she is off.

JOHNNA – Scheduling Coordinator

Johnna is our newest team member that calls Florida and Ohio home. Drawing shy of nearly four decades of dental experience, Johnna continuously strives to take pride while helping collaborate with our referring doctors, personal, and patients to generate a superb experience for each patient’s specific case with simplicity. She found substantial interest in the front office aspect of the dental field and enjoys her position as our scheduling coordinator.

Aside from our office, Johnna enjoys spending time with her Corgi, Reagan. She enjoys traveling to different campsites with her girlfriends and exploring. Johnna loves to travel and spend time with her two adult children. Her son Tanner graduated from Ohio State University & currently resides as a pilot in Kansas City. Her daughter, Taryn, graduated with honors this past May with a double major in music and marking from Ohio Wesleyan University. She has accepted a position as a brand ambassador with Starry Internet in Columbus, Ohio.

DIVINA – Ayudante de dentista

Divina is originally from the Philippines. She moved to the United States when she was 11-year-old and has been living in Jacksonville for 36 years. She has over 26 years of experience in endodontics and has been with our practice since 2011. She is a dedicated, competente, and hard-working person. She is a great team player, always ready to help everybody. She always comes to work with a cheerful welcoming smile that immediately puts patients at ease, decreasing their fear and anxiety related to dental treatment.

She is happily married to her husband Joe, and they have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. When Divina is away from the office, she enjoys shopping, watching college football and our Jacksonville Jaguars, and Nascar racing.  She cherishes her family and loves exploring different steakhouses.

HEATHER – Ayudante de dentista

Heather is originally from Baltimore, Maryland; but she was raised in the beautiful North Carolina mountains. She and her husband moved to Tampa in 2001 and have been Floridians ever since. She received her EFDA dental assistant certification in 2004 from Concord Career Institute of Tampa. She has some experience in general dentistry; but, most of her career has been in the endodontic specialty.

She has extensive knowledge in front office operations and insurance.  sin embargo, her passion has always been associated with patient care, which had driven her to chairside assisting full-time.  What Heather finds most rewarding in her career is helping patients throughout their visit with her friendly, calming demeanor to ensure they have a positive dental experience.

Heather and her husband John have been married for 20 years they have a son, Noah. When not at the office she enjoys spending time with her boys at the beach, various music, and cultural festivals, and traveling to local and National Parks.
